We had booked this property through booking.com seven months ago and received a good room rate with it. We actually stayed with its sister hotel at the beginning of our week in Dubrovnik ( they are on the same site and share facilities). We went to stay on an island for three nights and our final night was back in this hotel. We had given them notice verbally at reception and in writing ( two times) that we were a late check in due to the arrival time of the return boat. We had paid in full and we were confirmed. We arrived to be told they had cancelled our room and they booked us into another. They provided a taxi to it but it was not beachfront and in our view facility wise a lesser standard of hotel. It ruined the last night of our holiday as we knew the area - where the bus went from, pools, where to walk to local restaurants from the Neptun hotel. We arrived to an hotel, unsure of where things were and the room we were given did not have a balcony as we had booked. We lodged a complaint with the hotel afterwards but to no avail. A disingenuous offer of a discount on our next stay was offered( when we lived abroad and were not returning to Croatia).

Very Clean, lovely room, nice balcony, big tv that we watched an hour or 2 of before bed at night. Air conditioned room. No insects. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Good choices of food for breakfast & dinner. Different swimming pools, outdoor & 1 indoor. The sea very close to hotel, no beach, I was able to swim by walking down steps on ladder into the sea. Bus into the Old Town 5 mins walk from hotel, going every 10 mins. Lots of trips that hotel will organise for you. The hotel organised our trip to Kotor, Montenegro, which included a boat trip around the largest bay on the Adriatic sea. The boat brought us to the beautiful Lady of the Rock. A lovely Old Town in Kotor, similar to Old Town Dubrovnik.

The hotel was in an amazing location with an incredible view of the Adriatic Sea. I appreciated that we chose not to stay in the old city. Situated in Lapad, this hotel is peaceful, with a charming walkway along the beach. We had a superior sea view room that was worth the money. It was modern and spacious, with a large balcony facing the sea and we could watch the lovely sunsets. We also enjoyed the rooftop pool area, which was very private. Additionally, there were several pools on the hotel premises. Breakfast was served in the Royal Terrace restaurant located on the exterior of the hotel. There were numerous options, and seating was available indoors and outdoors on the veranda.

Some of the reviews of this hotel describe the breakfast as poor and chaotic - we found the breakfast to be varied and full of choice. It’s not a typical Irish or English breakfast but it’s typical Croatian/European. Everything was incredibly fresh and plentiful. The staff were incredibly polite and amendable at all times. The location is breathtaking and the view from the room was stunning. Numerous pools and an infinite number of spots/sun beds to sun bathe from. Being able to step from a hotel sun lounger straight into the sea was a joy. We would both return again in a heart beat.

We had a beautiful suite on the 4th floor with a sea view. The room had everything you could want for a fantastic stay e.g. kettle, fridge, tv, safe, toiletries The bed was so comfortable and bed linen and pillows were luxurious. Great food on offer for breakfast with an option to eat inside or outdoors on the terrace with a sea view. The spa and spa pool area was great. Friendly and courteous staff. A bus stop (2 minutes walk from the hotel) with a bus running every 15 minutes into Dubrovnik. A short 15 minute trip for €2. You can walk into Lapad on the seafront promenade.
